Who we are
UK Gaming Ltd, trading as Hurricane Gaming (registered in England and Wales, company number 15437138, registered office: Unit 8 Aspley Close, Four Ashes, Wolverhampton, England, WV10 7DE), is responsible for your personal information (the "data controller"). We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZC009966. Our contact details are on our terms page. For anything about your data, email parties@hurricanegaming.co.uk or call 01902 931991.
What we collect, and why
- Your name, email address, phone number and home address, to make and run your booking, confirm it, remind you about it, and contact you if something changes.
- Details of your booking: what, when, where, how many people (and how many adults and children), and any notes you give us.
- Children's names and ages, a birthday child's favourite game, food choices and allergy or dietary information, if you give them to us, so we can look after the children safely and cater properly. Allergy and medical information is sensitive, and we only use it for that purpose. You give it to us for your child, and you can ask us to delete it.
- Payment information. Card payments are taken by Stripe, and Direct Debit payments for memberships by GoCardless. We never see or store your full card number or bank details. We keep a record of what was paid, when, and how.
- Your account, if you create one: your email address and a password (stored in a protected form we cannot read).
- Marketing preferences. If you tick "Keep me posted" we will send you news and offers by email. You can unsubscribe at any time from any of those emails.
- Our staff: for our team we also keep the information needed to run rotas, time keeping, holiday and pay.
Our reasons for using your information are: to carry out the booking or membership you asked for (a contract), to meet our legal and accounting duties, for our legitimate interests in running and securing our business (for example stopping automated abuse of our booking page), and your consent where we ask for it, such as for marketing and for allergy information.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We use trusted companies to help us run the service, and they only use your information for that:
- Supabase: our database and logins.
- Netlify: hosting our website and booking system.
- Stripe: card payments.
- GoCardless: Direct Debit for memberships.
- Resend: sending our emails.
- Cloudflare: a check that you are a person and not a bot, on our booking forms.
Some of these companies process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards the law accepts, such as approved contract terms. We may also share information where the law requires it, for example with the police or our accountants.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records for as long as the law requires us to keep accounts, which is up to 6 years. Marketing details are kept until you unsubscribe. Children's allergy and food information is only needed around the date of the booking, and you can ask us to delete it sooner.
Cookies and similar technology
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our website stores the small amount of information it needs to work, such as keeping you logged in to your account, and our bot check from Cloudflare may use a cookie to do its job.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or give you a copy to take elsewhere. You can object to marketing at any time. You can withdraw consent whenever you like. To do any of these, contact us using the details above.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
